2004 Conference Information

Conference Registration: The conference registration fee is $200. It includes a reception on Sunday evening and a planned event on Monday evening. It also includes daily breakfasts, lunches and refreshments during breaks.

Hotel Reservations: You must reserve your own guestroom for your stay at the conference. We strongly encourage you make your room reservations at The Westin Crown Center as early as possible. Make your hotel reservations on the CMBG website or call the Westin, 1-888-627-8538. Inform the hotel reservations desk that you are attending the CMBG Conference to receive the $119/night rate (single or double). The cut off date for the $119 rate is May 9. After this date, reservations will be accepted as available and subject to the prevailing rates. The Westin Crown Center is extending the rate for three days prior and three days after the conference to allow you and your family to enjoy all the excitement Kansas City has to offer.

Air/Ground transportation: Several major airlines have regular service into Kansas City International Airport (MCI). There is a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel: $14.00 one-way, $26.00 roundtrip. Cabs are also available for approx. $38.00 each way. Travel from the Westin to the Country Club Plaza is approximately $8.00 by cab or by $1.00 for the trolley.

KCI airport shuttle service is just outside the baggage claims. You may also pick up a white courtesy phone and dial 3000 for KCI shuttle service. Shuttle service takes approximately 45 minutes to arrive at the Westin Crown Center. If you are traveling with another CMBG attendee it would actually save you money to share a cab.

Self-parking fees are currently $12.50 per day, or valet is $15.00.

Attractions: There are many sites and attractions around Kansas City. Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun are among the best amusement parks in the country. Conference related events: As with prior conferences, we are planning a "get-acquainted reception" on Sunday evening at the hotel. This will be a great opportunity to meet and talk with those attending the conference in a relaxed, informal setting. Dinner and an event will also be held on Monday evening to include conference attendees and their families.
