VENDOR TECHNICAL INFORMATION

This café session is intended to help attendees share information about their Vendor Technical Information processes and rules associated with maintaining documentation from vendors of key safety- related components.

ER & PLANNING FOR OBSOLESCENCE

This breakout session is a follow-up to the morning presentation and is intended to help attendees share information about their processes for identification, control and replacement of obsolete equipment.

The goal of this session is for participants to share information on strengths and lessons learned at their plants which the group can use as benchmarking information to assist in improving our processes.

He has over 25 years of experience in nuclear power and 11 years in CM.

MARGIN MANAGEMENT

Attendees will be asked to share their experiences with identifying and managing low margin SSCs.

How do their programs align with the elements in INPO's Good Practice 09-003 .

How are too low margin SSCs identified - system health reports, operable but degraded SSCs, other?

How are margin issues prioritized for action?

What has been particularly effective and what has not?

Facilitator : Rick Harris, Duke Energy
David Hembree, INPO

MAINTAINING THE VIRTUAL PLANT

This cafe will provide an opportunity for discussion, questions and answers around the morning presentation of the same title.

Attendees will discuss the issues and concerns centering around the fact that most Engineering Design companies obtaining licenses for the next generation of plants are using 3D modeling to design the plant.

They are also trying to convince the customer companies that continuing to maintain this 3D model, along with its associated databases and documentation, using their proprietary software systems, is the best way to go.

How to establish effective CM in this environment is the key question.

Facilitator: Russell Adams, Dominion Generation
Ken Barry, EPRI
Mark Palmer, NIST
