On behalf of the Configuration Management Benchmarking Group (CMBG), the CMBG Steering Committee wants to express their appreciation and dedication to Paul Davis who has been instrumental in developing the foundation of the CMBG as it stands today.
Paul first attended a CMBG Conference in 2000 and has never missed one up until his retirement in 2020. He was instrumental in expanding on the CMBG Website to become more robust with information and establishing Google Groups to allow improved benchmarking through email correspondence among membership. He also developed a database that is still used today to track conference attendees' professional information, conferences attended, and reports used for conference planning and preparation.
Paul participated in the development of documents such as Principles and Practices, CM Fundamentals and the Nuclear Facility Survival Guide. He has also participated in the standardization of CM Performance Indicators, the Vendor Technical Interface Program and Facility Configuration Information graded approach and management of backlog.
Paul was selected as the CMBG Steering Committee Chairperson in 2010 and held that position for 10 straight years. His commitment to CM will be missed and we wish him the best with enjoying his retirement and future endeavors.
